Thomson Reuters, the industry leader in healthcare data, has created a family of healthcare indexes to meet the demand for information about United States healthcare trends, including consumer confidence, healthcare spending, workforce health, hospital performance, demand, and litigation. Index topics include:
- Consumer Healthcare Sentiment – includes consumer confidence via attitudinal data on access, use, and purchase of healthcare services; starting with 2009 data and published monthly from April 2010 onward.
- Healthcare Spending – measures historical and current levels of per capita spending on healthcare for individuals with private health insurance; published quarterly from November 2010 onward
- Workforce Wellness – tracks health status and related cost implications for the commercially insured; published annually from March 2011 onward
